You are cordially invited to join the Bailliage of Greater Washington, D.C. for a vibrant culinary exploration of modern Latin cuisine at the acclaimed Lime & Cilantro Restaurant.

Although open for less than a year, Lime & Cilantro has quickly distinguished itself as a standout in the region’s dining scene. Chef Danny Chavez and his partner Fathi Sarsouri bring a wealth of experience in fine dining and hospitality to this intimate neighborhood restaurant, where their passion for elevated, creative Latin fare shines through in every dish.

Washington Post food critic Tom Sietsema’s review entitled, “At Lime & Cilantro, a Chef’s Masterful Take on Latin Food,” says it all. Indeed, we can say with confidence: Chef Chavez is a master. Every element of the menu is made from scratch, with meticulous attention to sourcing, preparation, and presentation. Traditional flavors are reimagined through Chef Chavez’s innovative lens, offering a dining experience that is both rooted in his heritage and refined in presentation. Wines for the evening have been expertly selected from the Bailliage’s cellar.

Please join the Bailliage of Greater Washington, DC as we venture to our annual summer sojourn. This year, we have two destinations:

We will begin our culinary adventure with a stop at True Treats Candy in Harpers Ferry, WV, only about an hour from Washington, DC. Susan Benjamin, Culinary Historian and shop owner will take us down memory lane (in the sweetest way) at noon. Susan will guide our exploration of the history of candy in the United States. The next part of our sojourn will take place about 15 minutes away in Shepherdstown, WV at Bistro 112 at 1:30pm. There we will enjoy a multicourse elegant luncheon created by Maître Rôtisseur Chef Paul Stearman. Many of you may remember that Paul was the Chef de Cuisine at Marcel’s in DC for 18 years. Our afternoon at Bistro 112 begins with a bubbling reception on a lovely outdoor patio (weather permitting) followed by a delicious meal in the dining room with wine paired by the chef.
